The Factory

The Factory - Residences Campanhã stands out at first sight for its exterior architecture inspired by the industrial context of the previously existing building on the site. With a great focus on natural light, the project was developed with the creation of patios in the southernmost part of the residences, thus ensuring high quality natural lighting throughout the year and enhancing a relationship with the exterior of the spaces they serve. Regarding the internal organization of the building, 10 autonomous units were created, 2 one bedroom and 8 two bedroom duplex. Accessing the interior of the building there is a common corridor that serves as distribution to the different units. The 8 units of typology T2 duplex are developed in four volumes of two waters and two floors and are accessed by a common corridor parallel to the street. The 1 bedroom units on levels 1 and 2 of the three storey volume are accessed from an external staircase on the rear of this volume. On the Ground Floor, in addition to the common circulation spaces, an office was created in relation to the development's patio.

General Aspects

T2 Duplex

The T2 Duplex units, which range from 92sqm to 117sqm of interior area, are divided into two floors (Ground and 1st Floor). The ground floor is used for the social area (kitchen, living room and dining room), with an open plan concept, service bathroom and access to the patio. And the first floor is the private area, with two en-suite bedrooms, both with built-in wardrobes. The connection between the two floors is made by an interior staircase. 

All of them include at least one patio (there are units with two patios) which range between 8sqm and 11sqm.

T1

The one-bedroom flats, with 51sqm and 52sqm, are on floors 1 and 2 of the development, in a body built on the northernmost part of the plot. Both have two fronts (east and west), balcony and access by an external staircase.

The bedrooms face west and the social area (kitchen, living room and dining room), with an open plan concept, face east.

Vera Cruz Street is a perpendicular to Pinto Bessa Street, which makes the connection between Bonfim Church and Campanhã Station.
